Sunday Preview - July 26, 2026
Big Sunday at CCW - Two sacraments, Baptism and Communion. The Lord's Table is a God-given opportunity to fellowship with our maker, to honor His death, and to honestly examine our hearts in light of Christ's sacrifice.
In 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, Paul confronts a church that had turned the Lord's Supper into a self-centered gathering marked by division, pride, and disregard for others. Rather than remembering Christ, they had forgotten why He died. This Sunday we'll see why God sometimes allows testing to reveal genuine faith, why the cross must remain central to our worship, and why believers are commanded to examine themselves before coming to the Lord's Table. We'll also consider the difference between God's loving discipline and His condemnation, and why confession leads to freedom instead of guilt. As we prepare to celebrate communion together, we'll ask the most important question of all: Have you truly come to know Jesus Christ personally, and are you walking with Him today?
